Growing up near OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, the rumble of airplanes fueled a lifelong love of travel. A transformative working holiday in London solidified my desire to pursue a career in this exciting field.
For 12 years, I thrived at a renowned Retail Travel Company, excelling in various roles from Consultant to National Operations Manager. My dedication was recognized with numerous awards, including the coveted CEO award. Despite a successful career, the call of adventure remained strong. I’ve scaled Kilimanjaro, hand-glided in Rio, and explored iconic destinations like the Great Wall of China and Machu Picchu.
Now, as a mother seeking balance, I’ve embarked on a new chapter as an Independent Travel Consultant. Partnering with a reputable Travel Partner allows me to leverage my experience while offering exceptional deals and support. My meticulous planning ensures every detail is considered, guaranteeing you the best service possible.
“Growing up, my parents often traveled internationally. This sparked a dream in me to explore the world myself one day. My first taste of travel was a trip to see the pyramids in Egypt in High School. Then, after I got my degree in Psychology and Human Kinetics, I went on a backpacking adventure in Southeast Asia. My travels took me to the rice paddies in Vietnam, the famous Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia, and Thailand’s beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife. After that, I was hooked and couldn’t get enough of exploring new places. This is when I decided to pursue a career in travel.
I spent five years as a travel consultant at a well-known retail travel company. Making people’s travel dreams come true was so rewarding, and while fulfilling others’ travel dreams, I was also fortunate enough to experience new places myself. Unfortunately, Covid took me away from the travel industry for a short while. Now, I am ecstatic to be back and part of The Escape Artist team, helping guide others to have the same memorable travel experiences I have had. I look forward to helping you plan your dream holiday.”
Ever since childhood, travel has been my passion. After studying travel and tourism, I embarked on a career as a retail travel agent, driven by a desire to craft dream vacations and foster unforgettable memories for others. (It may sound cliché, but it’s true!) My fondest travel memory is our family’s annual December getaways to Wild Coast Sun. From the early morning Johannesburg departure (a 7-hour drive!), to check-in, beach days, and long morning walks, it was pure joy.
As a mother of young children, retail travel became demanding. Now, joining Escape Artist allows me to perfectly combine my passion with the flexibility to be there for my kids. Witnessing my son’s delight on our recent trip to Australia – from the plane ride to feeding kangaroos and his first rugby game at the Broncos’ stadium – solidified my desire to help others create similar treasured experiences.
